We are pleased to announce the release of a new publication accompanying our current exhibition, Second Spring, featuring the work of Brian Michael Dunn and E. E. Ikeler. Developed in parallel with the exhibition, this thoughtfully conceived booklet includes an essay by Baltimore-based writer and educator Laurence Ross, offering a compelling exploration of the intertwined themes of nature and artificiality, materiality, and transformation.
The publication showcases select detail images from the fourteen works on view, highlighting each artist’s distinctive approach to material, scale, and painterly technique. These visual excerpts underscore the artists’ mastery of surface and form, providing deeper insight into the tactile and conceptual complexity of the exhibition’s immersive, large-scale compositions.
